Immortal Waste

Designed to be non-archival, these oil paintings are on a canvas made of plastic bags.

Like all living things the paintings will wear with age. How they evolve and disintegrate cannot be controlled, though the lifespan of each piece can be extended with gentle handling and care.
Each self-portrait begins with an emotional prompt: something inside that needs processing. Otherwise the compositions and details emerge in their own time.

This series is likely a lifelong work in progress.
